Food

To help beat the winter blues, we decided here at the office to have food days once a week. We have a team of 5 and each Friday one person is responsible for bringing lunch for everyone. Its been working really well and it sure beats having to come up with something to bring every week.

We've had salad, chili, clam chowder, pasta alfredo, and sub sandwiches. Now its time for round 2.

So what are you doing to beat the winter blues?

What a great idea!

Luckily here in Atlanta we don't get much snow and it never stays frigid for more than a day or two at a time. For example, a couple of days ago our high was around 36 degrees but we're going to be near 70 this weekend. I, thankfully, don't get the winter blues too bad.

SS - I think if I lived in the south, I'd miss the snow. Thats the only good part of winter.

Becky - for round 1, I brought the salads. Next, week is my turn again. I'm thinking about Mostacholli.

Robin - today - Feb 29 doesn't really count

Hey Tanya,
No snow days here - more like wish really hard for rain. But we also have food days at work and I LOVE THEM! You get ot try so many new foods and not look like a glutton (um... that does not of course apply to me in any way).

I started potluck Wednesday in our office ... sort of the same thing only we do it once a month (on--ta-da!--Wednesday) and there's a theme. We've done soup and chili day, breakfast day, and this week is appetizer day ... fun!

Wow, that sounds lovely. A homemade lunch once a week and all you have to do is cook one week. Great idea!

Hey, that's not fair; when I told you how I was beating the winter blues you said I was being mean! :)

Jules - I'll share a snow day with you. They're fun.

Swishy - We thought of doing themes, but its hard enough to make a decision, so we couldn't pick.

Melissa - It does work well, becuase its quite the hassle to bring stuff in.

Rob - You are right. I am a hypocrite, we should not beat the the winter blues.
