Today we went to the visitation for a good friend of mine. In the span of two weeks she had a baby then lost her father and grandma in the same day. I was so sad for her. The birth of a child should be such a happy time and while she was saying hello to the baby she had to say goodbye. We got to sneak a peek at her little one. I'll plan to go visit her soon.
Its been a big day for my little girl she made two steps on the growing/learning path. On our way home she discovered how to pull on her carseat toy to make it play music. She did it several times so I know it wasn't an accident. I even watched her do it after we arrived home.
If that wasn't enough excitement for the day we were doing some tummy time and she rolled over from her tummy to back! She had been fussing a little, but stopped after she rolled. Its amazing how fast she is learning and growing.
Here she is being silly with a wipe she decided to put on her head.
Day 5
Today we went to meet a new cousin. Baby daughter's 3rd cousin to be exact. He was born 9 weeks after her. He was so small in comparison and still had that soft newborn cry. It made me realize how much baby daughter has grown and changed. Especially her cry. We went shopping after the visit and she cried her way through Whole Foods and Target.
Day 4
One of my best friends moved to Florida last January. I don't see her very often, but we were able to meet up a few times over the past year. Once in Florida and the rest here. She spent the night and we got to stay up late talking like in the old college days. Baby daughter was sad to see her go.
Day3
Baby girl is 13 weeks today. She is growing very fast and has made the move into the next size of clothes 3-6 months. I take a picture each week so we can see how much she changes from week to week. This one is fun, since she has discovered her tongue and likes to stick it out all the time.
Day 2
My neighbor got me started on this. She takes a picture each day of the year. I thought it sounded like fun, so I will join her on this adventure. She has been doing it for the last 2 years. Some people have a theme or a challenge, but I think it will be enough of a challenge to not forget a day. Here it goes.
Staying up late is hard work. We spent New Years Eve with some friends at their house. After all that excitement, baby girl decided to make tonight an early night and fell asleep in my lap.
